The Horde's Headquarters in Vailor

A group of well respected and experienced fighters, the Horde was and is a mercenary force to be reckoned with. Created in the days of the Schism War, the Horde of Dunamis quickly proved it’s worth in the Dwarven-Oren war that followed. They were quick to show their skills and even quicker to accept a deal that made them some minas. Their merciless raids on Petrus will forever be remembered by all who lived in that time period.

The Horde of Dunamis participated in many battles during the restless period in Athera. They frequently allied with the Dwarves, as they always paid the most. Dunamis fought everywhere, from the unforgiving North, to the cruel Orcish deserts.

History

Athera

The Horde of Dunamis was founded in early Athera by Richard Revlis. They occupied the land beside The Red Rose Tavern and built their first fort there. Urguan and Oren were at war and then The Horde of Dunamis was offered payment in exchange for their sword by Urguan after their victories against the Orenian forces. And so the hate between Dunamis and Oren erupted. After a lot of fighting between Dunamis and Oren, an earthquake leveled most of their Keep and so they retreated back into the swamps. There, the Blackwood family offered them land and so they built their second Keep and continued the fight with Oren. Eventually, the Horde retreated from the woody lands by the main road and moved to the Caliphate of Khalestine. Here they constructed a large keep that was to function as their new base of operations. Unfortunately, few wished to make the move to the brutal desert, and the Horde rapidly lost their members. Eventually it was decided to halt all activity.

Vailor

After going on an extended hiatus, the Horde reformed under the name of ‘Legion of the Black Wolf’ in Vailor. As they looked to create a name for themselves once more, they were approached by the leaders of Savoy and hired. They marched off to war alongside the Savoyards, happy that they had landed such a good paying job so soon.

After successfully fighting for Savoy and winning in the first battle of the Oren Civil War, the ‘Black Wolves’ were bought off by the Adrians. In addition to receiving very large sums of minas, Siguine Barbanov himself hand picked a region of land north-east from the main entrance to Brelus for the Legion. Soon after, Richard Revlis declared independence from Adria and began rallying the Black Wolves to their newly acquired land.

After the Vladovic fortress was taken by the forces of Savoy, Adria fell apart. Bandits and looters rampaged through the streets of Brelus as all hell broke loose. The Legion quietly retreated from the public view and constructed their fortress in the land granted to them by the late Siguine Barbanov. During this time it was agreed to disband the ‘Legion of the Black Wolf’ and reform as the ‘Horde of Dunamis’. After the eviction from Adrian lands, they moved into Caliphate lands and there, they built their Keep and after re-filling their ranks, they decided it was time to accept contacts as usual.

Their first contact was by the Snow Elves since the war between the Iron Uzg and the Principality of Fenn started. After a while though, the Iron Uzg offered more payment and so Dunamis swapped sides and helped the Iron Uzg to occupy the city of the snow elves. But it didnt take long for the hate between Oren and Dunamis to appear. The Nortrhen province of the Orenian Empire captured and executed a Dunamis officer and so the Horde started raiding and pillaging all over the Nortrhen Province to avenge their fallen brother. Talks between Dunamis and Oren took place but nothing came out of it. And then the war between Urguan and Oren started. Dunamis was hired by Urguan as usual and so the relations with Oren became hostile. After years of fighting within Dwarven lands, the Empire of Vanderguan was formed. The Grand Kingdom of Urguan and the Caliphate signed a treaty and so Dunamis joined them. But after the fall of Vanderguan, Dunamis was surrounded by Oren. The Fort of Dunamis is besieged by the Orenian army. After months of fighting, Dunamis and allies emerge victorious. 10th of The Deep Cold 1547, Dunamis is officially disbanded.

Axios

As time has passed on, Mattias Revlis, son of Reign Revlis, appeared in the lands of Axios with only one purpose, to reform the Horde of Dunamis. In 1602, the Horde if officialy reformed by Mattias with help of Daeron Culmano and Danis Revlis. Soon after, the veteran Dunamites returned once more to bring chaos to the lands of Axios. During the Urguan-Norland conflict, Dunamis gets hired to defend the Krag. After two long sieges, Norland manages to defend the Krag with the help of Dunamis. Daeron Culmano went missing after the first siege, not to be seen again. The Hordes of Dunamis and the Romstuns formed an alliance in order to attack the Kingdom of Lorraine. Shortly after the alliance, the Hordes of Dunamis officially disbanded once more. Most of the members of Dunamis joined the Romstuns.
