Hans Torsten (High Imperial: Johannes Torstenus; Nevarian: Hans Torsten) was an influential Norlandic and Nevarian linguist and politican in the mid to late 1600s. Growing up in an orphanage in Mardon, he only knew he was half Highlander and half Heartlander. When he came of age, he moved to Norland to find adventure and joined the Ashguard.
