Quick Summary

Clan Redfist is a Clan leaded by the Redfist Family and has members from all nations and races.
They stand for equal rights for all members of society.
They are now known as the Redfist Trading Company.

Appearance

Members of the Clan used to be recognized by their Clan Uniform and most of the times dark coloured hair and beards.
Each full Clan Member also had the pelt of the animal he or she hunted on their Redfist Trials.
Underneath the furred coat, a chestplate was visible protecting them from danger. Underneath their pants and sleeves chainmail was also worn to protect their legs, arms and other critical areas.

Now, the Trading Company wears red coats and tricorne hats with each rank's outfit being more decorated and laced with gold.

Culture

The Clan's culture depends on which member you are talking to. All Clan Members have the right to believe in and follow what they want. As long as they respect the command of their superior Clan Lead members.

All Clan Lead members and some regular members used to believe that Petrus Redfist I had connections with spiritual beings and thus believe that he should be praised and worshipped, although this was not obligated upon joining the Clan, and members who refused to join this faith would not be persecuted for this.

History

Clan Redfist was founded by Petrus Redfist I to commemorate all his brothers that had fallen to the hands of the Imperial State Army.
By creating the Clan, Petrus wanted to grant the outcasts of society an equal chance of achieving something in life.

Later, Petrus had three sons. Rean Redfist I was the first to be born, and thus he was the rightful heir to the title of Clan Father. The second son, Edward Redfist I was sent out to sea at age twelve to learn the rules of the sea and gain experience in naval warfare. The third, and the youngest son John Redfist would become known as the disgrace of the family together with his adopted son Michael due to several accounts of disobeying orders and the attempted stabbing of Cedric Barclay.

The Redfist's had bought a house in Imperial City of Helena where they made one of their first Clan Hall's. Other Clan Hall's were located in Vira'ker and the Wildlands. Continuing their normal Clan activities and jobs, the Redfists became a possible threat to the Holy Orenian Empire due to several illegal activities and the attempted assassination of Dame Viktoriya by Edward Redfist I who was hired by the daughter of the Dame.

Because Edward Redfist I was able to provide evidence that he was hired, he was pardonned by Ser Alaric DeNurem and released after hours of torturing in the Bastion of the Imperial City of Helena. Several months after his release Sir Henry Marshall started an active hunt on the Redfists using his power within the Imperial State Army to track down and capture every Redfist. Some friends of the Clan and innocent bystanders were often arrested too for having similar looking hair or beards as the Redfists.

The Clan Hall in the Imperial City of Helena was soon burned down after these events and the fire is believed to be caused by Sir Henry Marshall and an individual simply known as Trevor who was suspected to work for the Ministry of Justice. The Redfists soon purchased another property, located in the Imperial City of Helena located at Victory Street 1 where they opened up a tavern known as 'The Red Fist'. Underneath this tavern a large hidden underground structure was located and claimed by the Redfists. This is where they held meetings and had personal offices. The Red Guard, whose job it is to protect the Clan Father with their own lives at all times, was formed due to the assassination of Rean Redfist I and also had their headquarters in the underground Clan Hall.

Somehow, the Imperial State Army came upon some information about the hidden underground structure. Soon Sir Henry Marshall and some other higher ranked Imperial State Army members stormed the tavern multiple times with no success. Several weeks later the Redfists discovered that the hatch leading towards the entrance of the structure had been smashed and opened. Following the trails towards the entrance, more doors and hatches were seen that had been smashed or forced open.

Upon the discovery of this underground structure, decorated with Redfist Banners and a grand Redfist Organ, the hunt officialy began on the Redfists because they were seen as an active anti-Oren terrorist wing due to several accounts of Imperial State Army flags being burned within the walls of the Imperial City of Helena and multiple Redfist Banners being found on crime scenes. Thus the Clan Father at that time, Thomas Redfist I was ordered to court. Upon refusing to show up at the given court date, Thomas Redfist I was sentenced to death but never caught.

The hunt on the Redfists continued for some years. This led to multiple assassination attempts on Clan Lead members, and one successful assassination on the Clan Father at the time, Rean Redfist I. Since Rean Redfist I had no son or daughter, the title was given to the oldest of Edward Redfist I's sons; Thomas Redfist I. After the assassination, the Holy Orenian Empire took it upon themselves to write a letter to all nations at the time, speaking of engaging in war if they did not join the hunt on the Redfists. Of course, all nations agreed in fear of yet another war and the Redfists had to go into hiding for several years.

During these years, the family and clan still met on several occasions, maintaining the brotherhood of the Clan. Thomas Redfist I decided to leave the Clan behind and focus on other matters, to assure a good and comfortable life for his wife Maximus Maddox (later Carma) and his kids.

Afterwards, the Clan is was still active in The Free State of Sutica, and the family had expanded since they last went into hiding. As stated before, Edward Redfist I's oldest son took the title of Clan Father before passing it on to his other son Kane Redfist I. John Redfist I died due to unknown reasons, and his adopted son Michael also died due to unknown reasons after getting his arm cut off as punishment for attempting to kill a family member of the House of Barclay.

Edward Redfist I's second-oldest son, Edward Redfist II had taken it upon himself to lead the Clan Navy, as his father has become too old to lead a military structure. Together with Edward I's youngest son, Jack "The Mad Dog" Redfist they were in control of a large war vessel named the Walrus located in Rhein.

Although the Redfists were no longer outlaws within all nations except for the Kingdom of Norland, Clan Members sometimes still experienced the consequences of the false information spread by the Holy Orenian Empire at the time, and sometimes still witnessed several assassination attempts on their lives.

Current Events

After leading their own vassal near Urguan and afterwards staying fairly inactive for a while, the Clan reformed to a Trading Company under the leadership of Pereus Redfist I, son of Edward Redfist II. The Redfist Trading Company is mostly active in the Apostolic Kingdom of Aaun, Lurin and the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska.

The Redfists have now taken a more professional approach to their business, and tend to be much more mannered than before, having a military structure in place with the following ranks;
- Senior Officer
- Officer
- Company Member
- Iniate
They can be easily recognized by their red coats and tricorne hats.
