Britannus is most notable for his role in the Riga War and the events prior. He successful negotiated with Duke Alexander Staunton and ensured peaceful transition of Kraken's Watch to the House of Vanir. The Storming of Kraken's Watch, which brought an period of peaceful coexistence to an end, caused Britannus to pursue the formation of a Carnatian League, with the sole purpose of retaking his home.
