A force comprised of Ferrymen and soldiers of the Kingdom of Norland struck into territory of the Holy Orenian Empire. Two hundred Imperial soldiers were taken by surprise as the raiders made their way to Providence, to invite the Imperial Army to fight them. After the Imperial State Army refused to engage the raiders, four hundred soldiers from the Orenian Ministry of Justice left Providence on their own accord to meet with the Ferrymen, looking to disperse the gathering on the bridge to Providence.
After a short battle in which the four hundred Ministry forces were killed, two prominent members of the Ministry of Justice were captured. A canonist priest was given safe passage to give them their last rites, after which the Ministry members were summarily hung from the bridge. The Priest returned safely to Providence
