The House of Novellen-Aldersberg is a cadet house of Novellen. The County of Aldersberg is a title that would be granted to the Prince Joseph Leopold as a non-hereditary title until the year of 1809 when it was made hereditary, creating the official cadet branch of House Novellen-Aldersberg. The current head of the House is Edward Clement an ardent collector of relics and antiques.
History of Aldersberg
The House Aldersberg finds its origins with Joseph Leopold Novellen, the sixth issue of [[Joseph II], and thus was not expected to inherit. Yet as an Imperial Prince was entitled to hold a title, so the county of Aldersberg would be created. The title Aldersberg existed well before this in the Oren of old, coming originally from House Sarkozic then later into the hands of de Savoie
