History
Eirik Thorsson Ruric from the start of his reign as King of Norland was forced to reconcile the horrible political situation he inherited from his brothers - an Imperial demand for the Kingdom of Norland to cede all lands and holdings to the Holy Orenian Empire. Eirik's diplomatic maneuvering and managing to secure a manageable peaceful vassilization rather than conquest and complete loss of sovereignty. This saved the Norlandic people from utter destruction and allowed the Red Faith to continue to spread throughout the North.
