The Storming of Cyrilsburg was a battle fought between the forces of the County of Götha and the Principality of Curon part of the war known as the Atlas Coalition War. Originally intended as a siege, Count Eimar was ordered by Prince Antonius to besiege Cyrilsburg and seize any and all lands that the principality controlled to permanently dissolve the state for its crimes against the N.A.A and Götha.

Prelude

After Curon announced the breaking of the pact with the N.A.A while preparing for a siege on Norland, the alliance sought to finally deal with Curons after repeated failures to uphold their promises to the alliance. As Count Eimar was moving his contingent of the rams brigade and vassals northwards towards Norland, he was stopped by Lord Marshal Antonius to set up a camp south of Curon to besiege Curon whilst the rest of Renatus forces and the N.A.A where to take on Ruriksgrad.

As a war camp was being established south of Cyrilsburg, the capital of Curon, numerous small raids took place, seizing many members of House Devereux and government officials who continuously wore down the remains of the weary curonites.

Battle

On the 11th of Snow’s Maiden 1661, an army of the size of 2400 soldiers gathered in the camp, under the command of Count Eimar, and his vassals. As the army marched uphill at midday towards Cyrilsburg. Count Eimar led a band consisting of forty men over the walls during the day and successfully captured Linette, using these forty men to seize control of the town to allow the rest of his army to enter the town to seize it.

After the preliminary capture of Linette, reinforcements from Renatus were received in order to capture the town fully and secure the surrounding regions, Count Eimar storming the town with Prince Antonius and raising the flags of Renatus and Götha over the gate.

Aftermath

The battle was a victory for the County of Götha which allowed them to convince the Chancellor of Curon, Alexandre de Aryn, to bend the knee to Renatus surrendering Curon which led to Curon being dissolved in 1662, with the lands being handed over to House var Burgundar, along with most of the titles.
