Siegmund I of Velen (16th of Horen's Calling, 1920), otherwise known as Siegmund Otto von Reuss was the second-born to Margravine Philippa I of Velen and her husband Leufroy of Virdain. Following his older brother's death in 1934, Siegmund would be titled Count of Revedin and succeded his mother in 1936 after she passed as Margrave of Velen. He was the first male-inheritor in two generations and established Velen in Aevos alongside his wife, Marlene of Merryweather.

Early Life & Count of Revedin

Siegmund von Reuss was born on the 16th of Horen's Calling, 1920 to Philippa von Reuss and Leufroy of Virdain. He was the younger brother of Georg Stefan, the Count of Revedin. He was not expected to inherit until his brother's untimely death from exposure, which led to Siegmund becoming Count of Revedin. After returning to Aaun, he became a squire of the Royal Order of the Knightly Circle of Saint Godwin of Aaun and went under Ser Gawyn Tiber's tutelage. Ser Gawyn would teach Siegmund the code of chivalry and what was expected of a knight of Aaun. WIP

Margrave of Velen

After Siegmund's mother died in 1936, he inherited the March of Velen. Shortly after becoming Margrave, he met his future wife, Marlene von Alstreim and they began a quiet romance. Siegmund proposed publicly during the woman's debut, though rumor has it they had a more proper ceremony in private. WIP
