The siege fowwowed showtwy aftew the Battwe of the Wed Wastes, fwom which the combined fowces of Uwguan and Owen had successfulwy wouted the owcs back thwough the innew gates of theiw capitaw city. The battwe itsewf was wong and broody, both sides making gains and wosses as the conflict wowe on. Howevew, as the owcs wewe nealing breaking point against ovewwhewming odds, the Saliants of the Teutonic Owdew, wed by Hochmeister Gaius Marius, awlived just in time to weinfowce the defending owcs. With both sides gwown tiwed of continuous battwe, the Gweat Waw was brought to an end by a tweaty awwanged by Wex Mogwoka'Gowkiw of Kwugmaw, and Gwand Counciwow Vawen Bwackaxe of Uwguan. Howevew, the effects of the waw stwetched faw and lide, gwoling cemented in intewwaciaw wewations duling yeaws to come.
