Robert Matyas Haverlock, also known as Robert of Talentine, or officially as Robert, Count of Talentine, is the firstborn son of Ser Leopold Alexander, Count of Talentine and Emmeline Hargrave. He inherited the County of Talentine and Prince of the Haverlocks at the age of ten, following his father's early demise in the Battle of Whitespire. However, Robert would reject the title as Prince of the Haverlocks due to not seeing sense in what he perceived as "inflated titles". Despite inheriting his titles at a young age, Robert would oversee the construction of Haverlock's first landed keep since his grandfather, the former Count Louis, back on Almaris.

Biography

Early Life

Marriage

In the year 1963, Lord Robert Haverlock and Lady Margot-Lucilla de Lewes secured their private wedding ceremony, officiated by Frantzisko Cardinal St. Godwin in the chapel of Whitespire - only kin and close friends in attendance.

From 1960 to 1963, Lord Robert Haverlock and Lady Margot de Lewes often spent time together in Whitespire, Aaun - a rare occurrence for them to leave the city alone. Their acquaintance began when they both happened to be at the Hand of Horen - Margot had accompanied her mother, Amelia of Virdain, on some courtly business, while Robert had been discussing court ideas with the other courtiers. Amelia hysterically suggested the two meet each other, as well as share an Illatian drink in the tavern. Despite Amelia's persistent pestering, the couple courted for three years before deciding to marry.

Death

While in the city of Valdev, Kingdom of Haense, Robert encountered a woman and a Holy Ser, the woman who displayed symptoms of a plague. The situation took a turn for the worse when the woman coughed on Robert, prompting him to lunge towards the woman, attempting to scratch her with his claw-like talons, a trait of Vampirism. Accused of being a darkspawn, Robert was then tested by the Holy Ser after being restrained by a Haeseni Knight. The test confirmed the woman's suspicions, leading to Robert's confinement in Owynsburg for further questioning. Despite offers of a cure, Robert chose to face his fate. A letter was sent to John I, King of Aaun, who arrived at the Holy See to speak with Robert. Ultimately, the King granted Robert a final moment with his younger brother before carrying out the execution, beheading the twenty-two-year-old Count. Robert's younger brother, Henry Arthur Haverlock, was made regent of the House, while Robert's heir, Léon Haverlock, succeeded his titles.
