The Mendez-Gonzalez feud is an ongoing internal conflict between two influential families of the Kingdom of Hyspia. This feud was initiated by Juan Mendez and Pedro Gonzalez when insults were traded during a yearly Citizen's Council in 1791 within the capital. This lead to the downward spiral of theft, burglary, and slaughter of cattle committed by both families throughout the feud. The first phase of the feud ended with the infamous Sunset Duel which was fought between Pedro and Juan with the King's approval as the sun set.
