Louis August de Rosius was born on the 14th of Sigismund's End, within the today's lands of the Margraviate of Haute-Epine. From the early days of his life, the affection he had had from his parents was enough for him to realise that they were his only true friends in life, and that the outer world is not to be trusted easily. His relationship with his mother was uncommonly affectionate for the time, as contemporaries and eyewitnesses claimed that his mother would spend all her time with Louis, while his father [[Louis Joseph]] was on his political meetings with the then Prince Charles, which would later shape the Arentanian Alps and formalise the Margraviate of Haute-Epine. Both were greatly interested in art and hunting, and it is highly likely that Louis developed these interests through his close relationship with his mother.
