The Prince of Sedan, officially the Sovereign Prince of the Principality of Sedan, is the ruling head of the Principality of Sedan and is the sole authority within the realm.

House de Joannes
The Principality of Sedan was founded by House de Joannes in the year of 1811 during the Sedan Rebellion, in which Louis de Joannes attempted to declare independence. Despite Sedan's defeat in the rebellion, the Principality of Sedan has lived on several years after the rebellion took place.
