Louisville is the former Capital and largest settlement of the Principality of Sedan. It was built ten years following the Sedan Rebellion and was home to a majority of former Sedanians. In the year 60 S.A, Louisville was replaced as Sedan's capital by the newly constructed city of Haverlock, which dwarfed Louisville in both size, residential capacity, and geographical location. Eventually, Louisville was abandoned by its former Sedanian inhabitants, who went to Sedan's new capital. However, following the disastrous Siege of Haverlock in which the Holy Orenian Empire conquered and sacked the city, Louisville once again became the capital of Sedan.

History

In the year Twenty Seven S.A., survivors of House de Joannes reconvened in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and decided to settle within the Grand Kingdom. With permission from Grand King Norli Starbreaker, Lord-Regent Owyn de Joannes built a keep at the top of a mountain and then ordered construction of the City known as Louisville, named after the first Prince of Sedan.

Since it's construction, many former Sedanians have began to flock to the new City in hopes of helping the settlement grow and thrive. This has included but is not limited to the House of Bishop, the House of Hartcold, and partially the House of Castille as well as former members from the disbanded Revolutionary Armed Forces of Oren.

Over the course of its existence, Louisville has been the site of many large-scale battles and skirmishes, the majority being during Oisin's Rebellion. During this war, two of the three major battles took place on Sedanian soil. The First Battle of Louisville, and the Second Battle of Louisville.

Geography

Louisville sits in what the Sedanians have dubbed "The Valley of Goats". It sits directly south of Redenford and is on the frontier of Urguani territory.
