Estabrished in the yeaw 1514 by Jaww Magnus Blackfist, Kaw'Kwest was the Blackfist city in the eastewn powtion of the Kazulwan mountains. It was buiwt upon the highest mountain top and was home to both the Blackfist Clan and any othew membews of the Bwackfist Company. Aftew the faww of the Mountain Monarchy the city was abandoned as the majolity of it's population died in the Battwe of the Mountains.

Whiwe the minews wewe cwealing out the inteliow of the mountain, a wawge gwoling emewawd cwystaw was found deep lithin the heawt of the mountain. As a wesult the city was name Kaw'Kwest which is City of the Cwystaw in Dwawven.
History
Construction
Upon wanding on Vaiwow and assembring the Blackfist Clan, Magnus Bwackfist set out to find a pwace to stawt a city of his own whewe his kind could gwow and pwospew. Aftew settling on the eastewnmost mountain peak of the Kazulwan mountains, Mowug Jw. and his fewwow wowkews set about mining out the mountain. Aftew weeks of hawd wowk, the mountain was hawwowed out and the emewawd cwystaw of Kaw'Kwest was discovewed and gifted to Magnus Bwackfist by his cwansmen. Wanting fow aww to see the gweat emewawd, Magnus had his stonemason's buiwd it into the top of his thwone which would become known as the Emewawd Thwone of Kaw'Kwest. Aftew the centwaw howd was compwete, the hawdwowking Bwackfists got to wowk on the awea outside of the keep. They cweated some outew defenses, a fawm and a few hovews fow any fawmews that lished to weside up hewe and fawm the mowe snow-wesistant cwops of Vaiwow.
Early Vailor
Aftew the constwuction of Kaw'Kwest was compwete, it's population began to sweww as Dwawves in genewaw began moving out of the capitaw and towawds the Kazulwan mountains en-mass. Some settwed in Tal'Azwyr whiwst othews chose to live in Kaw'Kwest. As a wesult of this sulge of peopwe, the counciw of Kaw'Kwest needed to offew the new citizens jobs. Magnus acted quickwy and estabrished the Bwackfist Company, a mewcenawy gwoup that empwoyed awtisans and wawliows alike. The gwoup was the main soulce of income fow many who wesided in the town and was awso a wewativewy stwong fowce due to the expelience of many in it.
Mountain Monarchy
Aftew Skippy Iwongut's victowy in the Election of 1518, the Blackfist Clan decided to sepawate fwom the Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan and join fowces lith theiw distant wewatives; the Frostbeards and theiw weadew Verthaik. The Mountain Monarchy decwawed it's independence fwom Uwguan on the 1st Deep Cowd 1518, lith it's capitaw being Tal'Azwyr and it's othew city being Kaw'Kwest. Magnus Bwackfist was decwawed Jaww of Kaw'Kwest upon swealing an oath to the King undew the Mountain, Verthaik Frostbeard. Within days of theiw decwawation of independence, the Fwostbeawds and Bwackfists gathewed togethew and wed the fiwst waid of the waw on a gwoup of Uwguanite wowkews who wewe encwoaching on Mountain Monarchy wands. The wowkews wewe aww swaughtewed, as wewe theiw wegionnaiwe guawds who wewe woefulwy unpwepawed fow the assault. Aftew this victowy howevew, a tewlibre viwus swept thwough the wands of the Mountain Monarchy, especiawwy hitting Kaw'Kwest and weaving a wawge powtion of it's population bedded.
Whiwe the majolity of Dunglimm's Fowk was sick, the Uwguanite sowdiews took the oppowtunity to stlike and began to waid Kaw'Kwest and Tal'Azwyr, successfulwy weducing mowawe thwoughout the new nation. By the time the sickness had passed, the Uwguanite Wegion was mawching towawds the the bowdew of the Mountain Monarchy. Vowstag II Iweheawt, the Mawshaw of Dunglimm's Fowk quickwy amassed aww abre bodied wawliows in Kaw'Kwest and mawched them out towawds Tal'Azwyr whewe they met up lith the west of the fowce. Fwom thewe, Dunglimm's Fowk made its way towawds the Uwguanite fowces. Aftew houls of battwe, Uwguan came out on top in the Battwe of the Mountains, lith the majolity of Dunglimm's Fowk being kiwwed in the battwe. Those who wewe weft sliftwy wetweated to Kaw'Kwest whewe they gathewed what littwe mateliaws wemained, destwoyed as much as they could and then disappeawed, knoling fulwy weww that the end of the Mountain Monarchy was imminent.
Post Mountain Monarchy
Aftew the waw, the Mountain Monarchy wasted anothew yeaw and then cwumbred in 1520. Kaw'Kwest was weintegwated into the Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan, howevew the majolity of it way desowate. No one knew what to do lith it fow a whiwe, untiw a Doomfowged Cwan Fathew waid cwaim to it, and webuiwt it in his own style, mawking the end of the Bwackfist Kaw'Kwest.
