Kal'Varoth is the capital of the former Dwarven Nation, Kingdom of Agnarum, and the current capital of the Under-Realm of Urguan in the realm of Arcas. It was founded by High King Fimlin Grandaxe when the descendants first arrived to Arcas.

History

Kal’Darakaan, or “the City of the Ancient Might,” is a subterranean dwarven metropolis that serves as the capital of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

Being the largest and only Dwarven hub on Almaris, the city is a staple for dwarven culture, craftsmanship, and religion. Within the capital city, travelers can expect to find multiple clan halls, housing districts, a bustling market, a Brathmordakin temple, Grand Arena, and large area for craftsmen to hone their skills. Unknown to many is the city's origins, as the modern Dwarves of Urguan were not the ones to construct the city. Through the investigation of clues left behind, many believe the city to have been a colony of the ancient Dwarves, hence its name of ‘Ancient Might’.

Goverment

Kal'Varoth is ran by a king and a council with representatives of the main clans. The council elects the King and needs to approve with a 50% majority most of his decisions. The council also elects a chairman, who can veto the king's decisions. Overall the government within Kal'Varoth and in turn the rest of the Kingdom adhere to the Articles of Urguan the ever changing yet balanced series of documents and rules that dictate the way of how the kingdom is ran.

Culture

Religion

The religion of Kal'Darakaan is the Dwarven religion of The Brathmordakin. In Kal'Varoth there is a temple to The Brathmordakin, and its the main residence of the Clergy.

A powerful guild known as The Legion of Mercy acts as the militant branch of the dwarven clergy, enforcing and defending the will of the Brathmordakin through more militaristic means.
