Juan Mendez was one of the founding members of the Kingdom of Hyspia, and was the first Head Steward and Hand of the Crown of the nation up until his death in 1793.

Early Life

Juan was born into the Hyspian Nomad Tribe, following them around the Northern mountains of Arcas. When he was 22, He fathered his firstborn child, Carlos Mendez. He was one of the first people to settle in the new Hyspian nation alongside his Tribe and Family, eventually joining the Hyspian Militia and later the Hyspian Monarchist Army. After proving himself a loyal and capable man in the Army, he gained the recognition of the Royalty, becoming Head Steward of Hyspia after being appointed by King Cesar of Hyspia. Juan continued to both serve in the military and go about his duties as the Head Steward, becoming considered as one of the key founders of the Nation.

Tenure as Head Steward (1792-1793)

As the first Head Steward, it was up to Juan to define what exactly the Steward's guild would be capable of. He went on to build multiple housing units and city utilities and built the Steward's Guild Headquarters, all per request of King Cesar. Concurrently, he began hiring younger and more capable citizens into the Guild in order to easily achieve his goals of building up the City. His time as Head Steward also faced problems, mainly his conflict with another Hyspian by the name of Pedro Gonzalez. The Feud was on the brink of bloodshed until the King himself intervened in order to save the City of bloodshed and controversy.

Tenure as Hand of the Crown

Juan served one day as Hand of the Crown before his demise in the Mendez-Gonzalez feud, in which he was not able to sign any decrees. In his one day as Hand of the Crown, He fought two duels against Pedro Gonzalez, winning the first but being killed in the second and final duel.
