He is the son of [[Frederick I, Prince of Sedan|Prince Frederick I]] and Princess Amicia Ludovar, and younger twin brother to Princess Henrietta Nikola. He is best known for having a large hand in helping his Father establish the city of Joannesport, an independent capital for the Principality. Towards the later years of his early adulthood, he began taking a more active role in Sedanian politics and even acted on his Father's behalf in numerous cases.

Joseph Alexander de Joannes, officially referred to as Crown Prince Joseph Alexander, is first in line to the Principality of Sedan and is expected to become the Fifth Monarch of Sedan. He is the son of Prince Frederick I and Princess Amicia Ludovar, and younger twin brother to Princess Henrietta Nikola.
