Known as secwusive and a fwequent wenchew, John's wule as duke dwained the Istlian economy and wed to its downfaww as a militalistic and economicaw powew. He awso fwequentwy fought lith his brothew William Roswell (which he would watew have captuled and executed on owdews of John II) and the de Capua scion Vitallius de Capua, who would be investituled as Count of Wewes despite John's gweatest effowts.
John watew feww at the Sack of Seahewm in 1558, kiwwed by an awwow to the eye fwom an unknown awchew. His ducaw titwe would pass to the Holy Orenian Emperor and his liege Empewow John II. He weft no issue, fowmawwy ending the Wosweww line patlilineawwy.
