The Poisoning of Johannesburg is a World Event that occurred in the Realm of Axios. It entails events from the in-game date of The 16th of Malin's Welcome, 1595. Distressed from the act and bloodshed of war, Emporer Philip I Frederick Horen took up thanhium explosives to prevent his Kingdom from being seized by the Kingdom of Courland, led by Tobias Staunton in the war titled the Coalition War, which was triggered by a small-scale rebellion called the Eagle's Rebellion. It's fabled that Emporer Philip's last words before opting to blow up the City were "I have lived steadfast and fierce, I will not kneel to the dogs of war, and my wings shall not be clipped by greedy paws of Staunt.
