• Johanes van Aert is born in the city of Velec

• Johanes' father Prince Valentin van Aert signs an alliance with Duke Heinrik Sarkozic, cementing the loyalty of Blackvale to Adria.
• Johanes is squired by Sir Paul Montalt and taught both in the field of polemology - the study of war - and the Martial Arts, namely, the use of a sword and other combat-related principles.

120 - 122 S.A.

• Johanes would go on to fight in the Adrian Rebellion, first at the Battle of Velec where he ran ammunition for cannons, and secondly at the Battle of Rolly's Hill where in the midst of the fighting, he was brutally maimed by the Aaun loyalists. He lost an eye, an arm, and a foot whilst being horrifically scarred from head-to-toe, his wounded condition persisting into his late adolescence.
• Johanes was healed in the aftermath of these injuries by an old hermit. The old troglodyte helped him get back onto his feet, before eventually Johanes returned to the field to fight in the Battle of Two Churches.
• Johanes would go on to become a raid party leader during the ensuing cold war, leading minor military incursions into Aaun, Haense and Balian to forage for supplies and kill enemy soldiers.

• Duke Johanes partners with the Canons Regular, a brutal mercenary group.
• Duke Johanes oversees a number of killings and kidnappings by the Canons Regular.
• Duke Johanes banishes the Canons Regular from the Duchy of Adria, after a troublesome partnership.

• Duke Johanes forms the League of Veletz, resigning from his position as Duke of Adria to instead be Captain-General of the newly-formed Veletz.

142 S.A.

• Captain-General Johanes is overtaken by an unknown skin-disease, binding him to a royal bathtub where he would receive hourly treatment.
• Captain General Johanes abdicates as Captain-General of the League of Veletz, unable to rule due to his severe illness.
