Jiraiya Amador was the Younger Brother or Cousin of the Legendary Founder & Patriarch of the House of Amador, Jack Amador. Jiraiya was titled the Count of Vendere, before consolidating the Amador holdings into the County of Crestfall, with himself as the titular Count. during the first settlements of Asulon.

Origins

For the Myths surrounding Jiraiya's Origins, please see Here.

The Consensus of the Current House of Amador (1914) stands that Jiraiya Amador was the Human Son of Joren and younger brother of Jack Amador, that they started as subsistence farmers close to the coast, not raided by orcs, but were instead met by Zafus who taught them how to become successful merchants. Of the two, Jiraiya was the far more successful merchant, but did not carry his elder brother's authority. Upon transitioning to Asulon & receiving their education, one of them spotted the opportunity hidden in the Eastern Isles of Asulon, which they would later conquer & settle with the help of Arthur Amador.

Adulthood

Economic Guilds

Throughout his life, Jiraiya Amador was heavily involved in the Guilds of Asulon, leveraging their relationships within these organizations for the betterment of the House of Amador. From the outset, Jiraiya was first involved with the Miner's and Architect's Guild from an early adulthood, later using the business relations in the guild to purchase material for the construction of Vendere. Early into their lives, The Miner's Guild provided the House of Amador with food, accommodation & their tools in exchange for their work, before the construction of their home in the Holy Lands.

A more mysterious guild Jiraiya was a part of was known as the 'Ivory Empire', which appeared to be an organization that intended to build new settlements, but was ineffective and poorly led.

Once Crestfall was established, Jiraiya supported two guilds within the port city, though it is unknown if he was a member of these organizations. The first was the Hero's Brotherhood, an adventuring guild that acted as a hub for the hiring of mercenaries in times of conflict. The second was known as the Arcane Delvers, a scholarly society which wished to gather intelligent minds to discover and understand the mysteries of the world through the study of ancient knowledge.

Elven Slave Trade

Though some may consider it shameful to admit or recognise, it is a little known fact that Jiraiya was involved in the purchase of several Elven slaves during their stewardship of the House of Amador's lands.

A Bill of Sale for a Dark Elf named Sadia is known to exist in the Archives of the House of Amador. The Dark Elf was purchased for the sum of five-thousand mina and was understood to have been used as a domestic servant of the House of Amador, eventually gaining their freedom via adoption into the family. However, the documents regarding this are lost.

Given the rumour that the House of Amador may also have had some of Malin's blood in its ancestry, the involvement in the Elven Slave Trade is all the more distasteful to some, but the later adoption into the family might also give insight into the House's more meritocratic values.

Count of Crestfall

Following the Battle of the Lone Island on the 11th of the Deep Cold, 1399, Jack Amador was granted Pontifical recognition as Duke of the Holy Lands. This led to a wholesale consolidation of the lands that were under the jurisdiction of the House of Amador.

Consequently, Jack Amador enfeoffed Jiraiya as Count of Vendere , which had grown from a small hamlet into a sizable port on the straits between the Sea of Renatus and the open ocean.

Jiraiya was responsible for the consolidation efforts on the Amador's homeland. He decided therefore to merge the existing towns of Ceru and Vendere into a greater polity known as Crestfall, changing the name of the title as a result.

Death

The demise of Jiraiya Amador or his wife, Jessica, remain largely unknown, even to the House of Amador.

Daniel Amador, a distant descendant of Jack and Jiraiya, who left Asulon with the rest of the House of Amador, believed an unknown entity pursued & killed members of Amador family on the transition to Elysium. However, much like his brother, the likelihood is that Jiraiya may have died naturally or by disease during the long voyage.
