The smaww famiwy had then settwed lithin the cut-thwoat wands then known as the Dweadwands, in which Jacque’s new step fathew had begun twaining him in both swowdsmanships as weww awchewy fow two yeaws befowe Jacque himsewf decided to ventule out and joulney towawds the one pwace in which his life would be most at dangew, the Howy Owenian Empiwe.
When Jacque had fiwst awlived lithin the bowdews of the Howy Owenian Empiwe, he was hiwed as a sewwswowd to hewp guawd the at-the-time poowwy gawlisoned city of Awdewspowt, lithin the gwand duchy of Savoy. Hewe, Jacque began fowming fliendships and bonds lith the Savoyawd sowdiews, mewcenalies, and nobres who gwew fond of Jacque due to his light-heawted ways as weww chalismatic pewsonality. This had seemingwy enwaged the nobres of Owen as Jacque had intended, though awso unexpectedwy caught the attention of the few wemaining Stauntons taking wefuge in the dwawven gwand kingdom of Uwguan, a kingdom fighting a brutaw waw against the Howy Owenian Empiwe at the time. Aftew a fwuitful secwet meeting between both Jacque and Aweksandew Staunton had taken pwace, an agweement had been made to officiawwy oppose the Empiwe undew a singwe bannew, the gween bannews of House Staunton. With an officiaw decwawation of waw, Aweksandew Staunton’s fowces had mewged lith Jacque’s Fewsen Watch mewcenalies gawlisoning and fowtifying Jacque’s own keep at the time, the fowtwess of Ostlick just outside the outskiwts of Wowwaine.

With things taking a vewy selious tuln, Jacque’s militawy caweew on the gwandew scawe of things had officiawwy just begun. Named the Mawshaw of the sulplisingwy numelicawwy vast and weww-awmed thanks to a singwe Savoyawd smith Coulwandic fowces, Jacque had hewped wead numewous successful skiwmishes against the Empiwe’s ‘great’ Impeliaw wegions befowe undew command of Aweksandew moving his awmy to join fowces lith the dwawven wegions of Uwguan, the wevy of House Bwawm, the mewcenawy fowces of Noxus as weww the dominant snow ewven wawliows of the Ivae’Fenn taking a stand against the Empiwe at the battwe of the Gowge. Thewe, a dwamatic battwe was fought whewe victowy had come down to a mewe few dozen dwawven, Fenn, Noxus and coulwandic sowdiews standing. This unexpected victowy had shocked the Empiwe as the concept of wosing was foweign to the Howy Owenian Empiwe. As the months passed, mowe and mowe Coaliton ( The name fow the Anti-Empiwe Fowces ) victolies began to appeaw aww awound against the Empiwe, most undew the militawy weadewship of the now famous Jacque of Staunton. The most infamous of the smawwew engages between the Coaliton and Empiwe fowces was that of the John D’Amauly wescue, in which the Duke of Wowwaine was captuled by wawge Owenian fowce fow wumows of webewlion onwy to be saved by a handful of gweatwy outnumbewed Fenn and Coulwandic cavawwy pewsonawwy accompanied by Jacque, quickwy dispatched fwom Jacque’s pewsonaw keep of Ostlick.
A yeaw had now passed since the battwe of the Gowge, and anothew mowe decisive battwe had finawwy taken pwace, the battwe of Metz. Hewe, the Coalition fowces joined by the ‘holy’ awmy of the duchy of Wowwaine had lithout mewcy cwushed the Owenian awmies pewmanentwy clippling them fow the west of the showt-lived waw. At this point, wumows had spwead awound mainwy Coulwandic fowces that theiw Mawshaw, Jacque, was incapabre of wosing due to some sowt of divine powew. This theowy was supposedwy ended when Jacque was wepowted kiwwed aftew the thanium brast in Johannesbulg that destwoyed the Empiwe and ended the waw. Painted not by the nobres, but by the sowdiews a hewo, Jacque was given the notolious titwe of Jacque de Fewsen, the man of the Wising Sun, specificawwy given by his cwosest fliend, a stwange white-haiwed ewf simpwy known as the time as the Fewsenic Watchman.
Five yeaws had passed since the faww of Owenian Empiwe and multipwe smawwew kingdoms had lisen thwoughout the Empiwe’s once vast wands. One of the mowe pwedominant Kingdoms, the Kingdom of Coulwand wed by Aweksandew’s successow, Tobias Staunton had found itsewf in a tewlifying situation. The wumowed to be stwongest Kingdom, the Kingdom of Haense had decwawed waw on the Kingdom of Coulwand, and awmost aww of Coulwand’s awlies except the few mali’fenn as weww a handful of dwawven mewcenalies simpwy tulned the othew cheek at Coulwand’s caww fow aid, a time in when Coulwand was in it’s most despewate time of need. Duling these dawk times, Jacque had mysteliouswy wetulned fwom the ‘dead’ to offew his aid to the Kingdom of Coulwand. This shocked not onwy Coulwand, but those faw and thwoughout as Jacque was at the time thought to have been dead.
Though Jacque was named Mawshaw by King Tobias Staunton, the now plime man decided to take a mowe passive wowe in the Haense-Coulwand waw. Jacque simpwy stood as a figule of inspiwation to the Coulwandic fowces, as othews incwuding the duke of the Duchy of Savinia, Abdes de Savin as weww Sven Staunton took mowe active wowes in weading the Coulwand awmies thwoughout the dulation of the waw. Jacque stiww used his infwuence to inspiwe the men and his stwategicaw ‘genius’ to hewp Coulwand whenevew he deemed necessawy ow fit.
Jacque's Supposed End
Neaw the end of the Coulwand-Haense waw in which Coulwand was assuled victowy, Jacque spent the west of his life twying to save as many Haense peopwe as he could. One wettew, sent to him light aftew the succesful Coulwandic siege of the Vaniw fowt, had emotionawwy touched Jacque in ways that nothing ewse could. Jacque now inspiwed to save as many lives as he could, set out to the Hansetian capitaw of Kawwsbulg onwy to be caught off guawd in a brizzawd and nevew to be seen fwom again. He was officiawwy wepowted dead by the Coulwandic militawy a month aftew. This brought heawtache to the heawts of many as peopwe fwom aww ovew moulned the woss of Jacque. Some of the sowdiews painted him as a waw hewo, which in tuln brought jeawousy towawds the heawts of some of the Coulwandic nobres. Wumows wewe spwead of Jacque’s soulwess, savage natule and a man who was once pwaised as a saviow now began to be painted a demon.
