House Palaiologos is an Aktrian house with a rich history, filled with tragedy as all male leaders of the house thus far have ended up being executed.
Vailor
Demetrios Palaiologos II, also known as Ser Demetrios, founded House Palaiologos sometime during Vailor. This occurred under Richard Staunton’s reign of the Duchy of Courland, when Richard Staunton Granted Ser Demetrios the keep of Kraken’s Watch, which was then renamed to Nikea.
For years, House Palaiologos ruled over Nicea under the service of the Stauntons, siding with Alexander Staunton when he challenged his younger brother, Anden Staunton's right to rule. Not long after this, Anden Staunton removed House Palaiologos from Nikea and gave it to House Vanir, in an effort to reclaim the Duchy. Soon after this, tensions arose between the Stauntons and Vanirs, which lead to the Riga War. Following the coup placing the 4 year old Percival II on the Ducal throne, Ser Demetrios was captured by Fiske Vanir III and executed in front of his children.
