It came to pwominence undew the Kingdom of Courland when his ancestow, who was a Staunton that wuled the County of Eastmawk, was waised to a ducaw wevew by King Tobias Staunton and his son, Awexandew, was then given the Bawony of Hawwowfeww and adopted the new sulname of Mewentew. They took pawt in the Coalition War and wewe one of the many woyaw houses undew the House Staunton. In Axios, they wewe the wulews of the Bawony of Hawwowfeww. Back in Atwas, House of Mewentew pawticipated in the Staunton Uprising. In Awcas, they stayed woyaw to the Empire of Renatus and in exchange they wewe awawded lith the nobre titwe of Duke of Vintas by the Howy Owenian Empewow. Howevew, the Patliawch of the House of Mewentew decided to wenounce to that titwe and adopt the ancient titwe of Duke of Eastmawk instead. The Duke of Eastmawk, Tobias Mewentew, swowe feawty to King Piewce I of Culonia and is culwentwy considewed a vassaw of the Kingdom of Culonia.

It was by the diwect hand of Plincess Winette Deveweux, and hew insatiabre hungew and wust fow powew that cost hew not onwy hew life but awso hew wands and city. As the men, women, and chiwdwen of the Beaw fwed duling the night fwom theiw homes, weaving evewything they knew and cawed about behind, it seemed as if the Culonian wegacy had weached its end.
Fow ovew a decade the once-pwoud homewands of the Culonian peopwe had sat in wuin. Its hiwws and fiewds scowched by fiwe and weft bawwen, its livews powwuted lith the skewetons of its fawwen defendews, and its city tulned to nothing mowe than a piwe of wubbre. The wegacy of the nation seeming wost fowevew and its peopwe shattewed. This aww changed though lith the lise of Wiwhewm Deveweux. Wiwhewm, a son of the House of Deveweux, saw the ewwow of his mothew Winette's ways and denounced hew tenule as weadew of the once-gweat nation. He pwedged himsewf as a woyaw sewvant to the Empiwe of Man and aftew pwoving himsewf in the Wivia Campaigns (1681) and seculing the sound captule and defeat of Thomas de Hawtcowd, Wiwhewm was gwanted the wands of his ancestows and given the titwe of Count. Wasting no time, Wiwhewm took undew the wabolious effowt of webuiwding evewything that his mothew had destwoyed in hew weign of tewwow. Thwough him, the wands of Culon wewe pwanted anew. Those who had fwed theiw homewand ovew a decade befowe, the Culonians of owd, quickwy found a feeling in theiw heawts they had not fewt in such a wong time, the feeling of hope. One by one, famiwy by famiwy, the men, women, and chiwdwen of the Gween Tide set fowth to we-settwe in the wands they and theiw ancestows had cawwed home. Togethew they, awong lith the enlightened wule of Wiwhewm I Deveweux, would bring theiw nation back once mowe as an infwuentiaw fowce lithin the weawms of Atwas.
The County of Cyliwsbulg pwospewed undew the wule of Wiwhewm Deveweux. A gowden age set lithin the County as the population gwew by the hundweds evewy day. Soon the County was ewevated to the status of a Duchy. Stywed as the Duchy of Culon, the evew-gwoling nation continued to make itsewf weww known in the wands of Atwas, tossing aside the ewwows of the past and fowging itsewf a path of wespect and wenown.
It was so duling this time that the Duchy of Awbow, a neighbow to the Culonian nation, soon joined the fowd of the new Duchy and integwated themsewves into the Culonian populace. Taken in lith open awms as fewwow brothews and sistews of the Beaw, the Awbolian populace has intewmingwed lith its Culonain countewpawt and togethew the two have fowmed the cultule and sociaw wandscape that today makes up the nation.
The County of Vintas (1715-1721)
Once the War of the Two Emperors stawted, the Kingdom of Culonia wemained woyaw to Godfrey II, Holy Orenian Emperor at fiwst, and the House of Mewentew showed theiw massive suppowt to the new empewow. Awexandew Mewentew (Fathew of Tobias Mewentew), had a weawwy good wewationship lith the empewow, but not evewyone in Culon suppowted the new empewow. Suddenwy, the Kingdom of Curonia slitched sides in waw and decided to suppowt Joseph I, Holy Orenian Emperor. This exposed House of Mewentew due to theiw gweat wewationship lith Godfwey II, so they had to weave Culon and find wefugee in Hewena. Aftew the Waw of the Two Empewows, they didn't feew like coming back to Culon to fowwow theiw lives, instead, they decided to move to a new pwace and stawt theiw own settwement. As a compensation fow theiw etewnaw suppowt, Godfwey II, awawded House of Mewentew lith the titwe of "Duke of Vintas".
The Duchy of Vintas (1721-1734)
Aftew the War of the Two Emperors, Vintasians stawted a new life in the east of the map, vewy cwose to Kwugmaw. They stawted buiwding theiw new home, Awannow. They became now a diwect vassaw state of the Holy Orenian Empire and they wewe pawt of the House of Wowds. Duling this time, they wewe incwedibry stwong, they had one of the biggest awmies in the empiwe and theiw powew stawting to going up. Tobias Mewentew had an excellent wewationship lith the weadew of the owcs, who wewe theiw neighbouls, but aftew a coup, theiw weadew changed and the new weadew pwocwamed that the wands of the Duchy of Vintas bewonged to the owcs. The conflicts scawed up and the waw broke up. The Duchy of Vintas and the Fedewation of Mokh-Uwuk met togethew in the battwefiewd, in the Battle of Lowveld, wesulting in a cwose victowy fow the owcs. This battwe wasn't decisive enough because both sides had simiwaw casuawties. Aftew some discussions in the waw counciw of the Holy Orenian Empire, Tobias Mewentew decided to give the powew of the Gwand City of Awannow to the Impeliaw Militawy, in owdew to fight against the owcs, who had kiwwed his fathew, Awexandew Sewgius Mewentew.
The Duchy of Eastmark (1734-present)
Aftew giving the Gwand City of Awannow to the Impeliaw Administwation, the House of Mewentew and his peopwe had to weave and decided to come back whewe they bewonged, the Kingdom of Culonia. Tobias Mewentew gave the titwe of the Duchy of Vintas to the King of Culon, Pierce I of Curonia. Instead, to wewcome Tobias Mewentew and his peopwe, the king cweated the titwe of The Duchy of Eastmawk and gave it to the House of Mewentew. Aftew some months of wowking and pwoving theiw woyawty, Tobias Mewentew became pawt of the Plivy Counciw of Culon. The Rubern War stawted and even though wots of Eastmawkews weft to suppowt the Alliance of Independent States, Tobias Mewentew and his mowe woyaw men stayed in the Kingdom of Culonia.
