The House of Valyn was a relatively new Noble house in Almaris, being founded in 84 S.A. Currently, they hold only a small Guildhall in the city, which is used for the Order of the Lion, the knightly order of the House.
The Valyn sigil is a black lion, on a crimson field. Their official motto is “Pride in Honour”.

Members of the House of Valyn tend to be tell and powerfully built, with black hair and dark purple eyes, as well as strong, square jawlines. They are known for their mercurial tempers.
History
Almaris
Origins
The House of Valyn was founded by Ser Edric Mösu, who was knighted during the year 80 S.A. He would then hunt a beast which began preying on the village's sheep, he tracked it back to its den, a cave in the base of a mountain. Edric would kill the beast and it’s mate, but would spare its offspring. After the hunt, he would take a black lion on a crimson field as his Coat of Arms, and would set off into the world to find his kin in Fort Myrine.
