The House of Valyn was founded by Ser Edric Mösu, who was knighted on the year 80 S.A. He would then go hunt a lion which began preying on the village's sheep, he tracked it back to its den, a cave in the base of a mountain. Edric would kill the lion, but would spare his mate and cubs and would take a black lion on a crimson field as his Coat of Arms.
Traits
Members of the House of Valyn tend to be tell and powerfully built, with black hair and dark purple eyes, as well as strong, square jawlines. They are known for their mercurial tempers.
