Dominic Ragnarsson Kvitravn, Nowadays often called Dominic the Old or Dominic of Ravnhamlet, is a Norlandic Warrior, Politician, and Chieftain who became the 6th Chieftain of Clan Kvitravn following the disappearance of Emerald the Lucky. He has lived an extremely eventful life, leading Clan Kvitravn to numerous highs and lows. In recent times, the Clan has lied low from mainstream Norland politics as Dominic has retired to a rural farmhouse with his grandchildren; Hjalmar Loysson, Lofi Halvarsson, and Halfryd Halvarsdottir as well as Hjalmar's son Einar II.

Early Life

Dominic Kvitravn (full: Dominic Ragnarsson Kvitravn) was born in the year 66 S.A. in the city of Alisgrad, Norland during the reign of Vane Freysson Ruric, King of Norland. His Father, Ragnar Kvitravn, owned a small farmhouse in the southernmost part of Norland within a region known as the Raenrland. Dominic's Grandfather, Hali Kvitravn, had bought the land years prior to Dominic's birth and Ragnar was the one to build up a house and small farm. Unbeknownst to Ragnar, his Son would go on to transform this land into the small village of Ravnhamlet later in life. Five years after Dominic was born, Dominic's mother would go on to give birth to his younger brother, Eyvind Kvitravn II. Unfortunately, Dominic and Eyvind's mother would soon pass due to complications from the childbirth, leaving Ragnar to raise the two boys alone in his farmhouse. Through his whole life, Dominic would often reflect on how kind and compassionate his Mother was despite being very young when she passed.

Throughout his time living on his Family's plot of land, both Dominic and Eyvind would be subject to their Father's teachings. Having been hardened from the loss of his wife, Ragnar was especially unforgiving and often pushed his children to their limits. Both Dominic and Eyvind would later attribute their combat successes to the teachings of their Father. Such tests that Ragnar would give his children included but were not limited to: creating their own clothes from slain animals, sparring with each other and himself until first blood, and being sent out to survive in the cold north for a maximum of three days. During the time of Dominic's youth, he and his Brother would go on to forge their iconic T visor helmets, which was a prized tradition within the Clan. The climax of the two brothers' training came when both came of age during the reign of Odin Freysson Ruric, when both boys partook in the traditional Trial of the Bear (Also known as Einar's Trial). This coming-of-age tradition, started by the Clan's progenitor Einar Kvitravn, consisted of a new Kvitravn adult being sent forth into the wilderness with nothing but a suit of armor and a singular melee weapon of their choosing. They would then hunt for a Bear (Ideally a Polar Bear) and engage it in single combat until the Bear was slain. Dominic would struggle with tracking the bear during his trial, and on the second day of his trial he was ambushed and nearly immobilized by the bear. After a lengthy struggle, Dominic slew the bear by splitting its stomach open with his two-handed axe, completing his trial. Dominic skinned the bear, donned it as a cloak, and hauled the meat back to his family's farmstead for a feast.

Adult Life

Now an adult and having passed his coming-of-age trial, Dominic moved from his Father's homestead to a hut in the farmlands just outside the walls of Alisgrad. By this point, Clan Kvitravn had been missing from Norlandic politics for years and by most measures was considered irrelevant. Dominic sought to change that, and so asked his father Ragnar to take up the position as Clan Chieftain. Ragnar refused, citing his desire to live a quiet life. As a result, Dominic publicly declared his ascension as Clan Chieftain of the Kvitravns and began slowly working to restore the Clan to a respectable position by joining the Ashguard. It is here that he met Milki, a Vistulian woman who hailed from the southern deserts of Savoy. The two began to court, and the pair quickly took a liking to each other. During this time, Dominic's father Ragnar passed away and his younger brother Eyvind moved into a house inside the walls of Alisgrad and also joined the Ashguard. Not wishing for his family's land to fall into disrepair, Dominic regularly went between staying in his home at Alisgrad and his farmstead. Seeking to expand his Clan further, Dominic constructed a handful of houses on his family's land, naming the new village Ravnhamlet.

The Cartref Mor Uprising

During one of Dominic's stays at Ravnhamlet, Dominic was called to a meeting with Aurelion Marsyr, the then-lord of Cartref Mor. The pair spoke in Aurelion's office, with Aurelion being flanked by one of his Adunian Rangers. Dominic, at first confused, would soon come to realize what the purpose of the meeting was. Lord Aurelion declared that he would proclaim a new Adunian Kingdom in the Raenrland, and he offered Dominic the opportunity to keep his lands if he would swear the fealty of Clan Kvitravn to the new Adunian Kingdom. Dominic grew enraged by Aurelion's words and quickly stormed out of the meeting and rode north to Alisgrad. He immediately informed Odin Freysson Ruric, King of Norland of Lord Aurelion's plans, and the Norlandic Crown declared Aurelion to be a rebel. This marked the beginning of the Cartref Mor Uprising.
