The Second Battle of the Rothswood, fought between the forces of the Kingdom of Courland and the rebellious House of Ruthern and its other Human allies, occured in its namesake the Rothswood in and around the manor of House Tosali. Following the Ruthern victory, the Kingdom of Haense was established in their former territories within the Greyspine mountains and Stephen I of Haense was elected king by the National Duma. Additionally, the dominance in human politics of the Kingdom of Courland was destroyed and is believed to have directly led to the ability of the Fifth Empire successor states' reformation of the Holy Orenian Empire.
