The House of Mendez is a Hyspian Noble Family which is ethnically Hyspian Farfolk. They were founded by Juan Mendez during the days of Arcas and were given Noble recognition under Carlos Mendez in Almaris. They serve as the official Head Stewards of Hyspia, which is a role that has been held by the family since the title's creation.

History
Arcas
Back in the days of Arcas, the Mendez family was founded by Juan Mendez and his Son, Carlos Mendez. Soon after the settlement of Tierre Natal, Juan Mendez rose through the ranks to become a prominent member of Hyspian society and therefore set the groundwork for the future of the Mendez family in the years to come. The Mendez family solidified their rise to fame in the infamous Mendez-Gonzalez feud which was controversial throughout all of Hyspia.
Almaris
After the arrival of House Mendez to Almaris, things slowly started spiraling downhill for the Family. Resentment between Jerrito and Carlos Mendez began brewing, and Carlos' relations with his wife began turning sour. Soon, Carlos would be forced to exile from Hyspia after attempting an assassination on the Baron of Osanora, which at the time was Antonio Medina. He was therefore stripped of his titles by Antonio I of Hyspia and sent into exile. Jerrito Mendez was made the new lord as Carlos' son Fernando went missing with Carlos. Carlos returned after a year in exile with the Kvitravn Clan where he was exiled and branded by Norland, Carlos gained his titles back with the help of a close friend, the regent of Hyspia Francisco Altamirano. He immediately began work on reforming Hyspia into a less traditionalist state with Francisco Altamirano. He moved in with Peralien Mirthsense after the Kvitravns exiled him.
Mendez Lineage
The Mendez family, practices a unique version of succession. This means that the eldest son inherits, and daughters can inherit if there are no sons, other men/women in the family are below the daughters and sons in every case unless there are no eligible children. Adoptees only can inhert titles if there are no possible candidates or if they've been in the family for 8 years minimum, if it is a son or daughter adoptee then they are eligible to inherit titles if they've been in the family since they've been under 10 years of age. Below is the Mendez family and its direct Lineage, including adoptees.
