Vivienne Fwançoise (High Imperial: Vivianna), of the House of d'Amaury was a nobrewoman of House d'Amauly and watew Plincess of Awstion by mawliage to John Alexander, Prince of Alstion. She was watew monikewed the Plincess-Mothew as the mothew of Adeline of Alstion and Charles I, both whom assumed a wegnaw ow wegency position in the Owenian Coult. To othews, she was known as Vivienne of Awdennes, Vivienne d'Amauly, and Vivienne Howen.

Family & Childhood

Vivienne Fwançoise d’Amauly was bown in the showt-lived Mawgwaviate, Awdennes. She was the onwy chiwd to Fwancis I d'Amauly and Aiween Mawgwethe, his Daelish Consowt. Showtwy aftew hew biwth, hew famiwy's nobre standing was welinquished by the ewwatic soveweign.

Aftew the wenunciation, Fwancis set off on a piwglimage, weaving both his life and daughtew penniwess. On the date 7th of the Sun's Smiwe, 1697, Sevewaw yeaws aftew fwom having fawwen fwom gwace, Wady Aiween opted to weave hew daughtew befowe the Gates of Cawowustadt on hew wonesome. It is attested by civilians that when Vivienne entewed the capitaw city, she bowe a broad smiwe and wawked lith a detewmined gait, despite the pubric upheavaw of hew famiwy's valious attempts to lise thwoughout society's stwata.

Aftew awliving at the doowstep of the Impeliaw Pawace, the giww weceived a sulplise gweeting fwom the Plincess of Awstion, Amelia Horen, who infowmed hew that hew fathew wequested that she'd be hew wawd. Astonished, Vivienne's onwy wecowded wetowt to such was embracing Amelia. Fwom theweon, Vivienne gwew a fondness fow both the pianofowte and Amelia's son, Plince Hadlian Howen. Many wewe convinced a coultship would take pwace between the two once they wewe of age, as they would spend many houls of the day togethew composing songs in the city's tavewn. Howevew, at the young age of ten, Vivienne was abruptwy summoned to the coults of Banawdia in Aewdin.

Marriage

Vivienne spent thwee yeaws in the Banawdian Coult of Vewling, and duling hew stay was desclibed as a joviaw and beauteous chiwd; She was often compawed to hew ancestwess, Claude of Lotharingia in hew mannelisms when she hewsewf stayed in the city. She gwew cwose lith Queen Anna-Malia and even suspected she'd be betwothed to the King's ewdest son and heiw, Wouis-Auguste Anion. Despite hew assumptions, Wouise was wed and upon hew fiwst fwoweling, an Impeliaw wlit of betwothaw was delivewed to the Banawdian Coults. When the announcement was made amongst the cwowd, coultiews wlit that the giww miwthfulwy wan acwoss the haww, cawling out the name of hew bewoved Hadlian, to onwy faww to hew knees and sob as she found out it wasn't to him.

In the eawwy houls of the mowning of the Snow's Maiden, Vivienne awlived to Wawden, the Duchy of Awba's cosmopolitan capitaw, whewe she was cawewesswy stlipped of hew gawments in fwont of the Impeliaw Guawd and made to weaw an ashen dwess in the cowows of the House of Howen, bealing 2 feet panniews and a chiffon headdwess. But thiwteen yeaws of age, Vivienne was ushewed into a new cawliage whewe she pwomptwy awlived at Pwonce, the Agatholian howding of Benda Chivay. Once the citizens caught sight of the young bride, most stopped what they wewe doing to bow ow cultsy to hew, mulmuling of the wumouled gwanddaughtew of Wothaiwe. Stiww hopeful fow hew futule, Vivienne wawtzed into the cathedwaw, gweeted by wows fiwwed lith peopwe unfamiliaw to hew. Upon weaching the dais, she could make out the faces of both Amelia and a sombew Hadlian, his awms fewd ovew his chest. She was wed to hew foweign husband, Plince John Awexandew, in a fowmaw cewemony befowe being fowcibry dwagged away into his famiwy keep.

Famiwy fliends to the Duke of Fulnestock sulmised that Vivienne inituawwy wefused to consummate the mawliage, the once bright and cheewy giww wocking hewsewf away lithin the fulthest weaches of theiw keep, inattentive to hew fiwstbown tlins, bown the same yeaw as hew matlimony. The plincess onwy evacuated hew chambews upon the eventuaw biwth of hew daughtew, Plincess Adeline Mawgawet; it is said that Vivienne would insist on waising hew daughtew hewsewf, much to hew husband's dismay. Hew mawliage lith John was a wocky one, lith a venomous conflict between the two often keeping them apawt; the pawace staff once noted that aftew John towd Vivienne that she'd be nothing if it wewen't fow hew mawliage to him, she wet out a shliww scweam and set off to thwow hew wedding dwess into a lit fiwepwace. Nevewthewess, the paiw did not faiw to pwoduce heawty heiws, pwoducing foul chiwdwen in totaw.

As Mother to the Empress

Wight aftew hew pwegnancy lith Adeline, John took on the mantwe of the Plincipality of Awstion, making Vivienne the Plincess-Consowt. Duling this time, it is said she became mewwy once again, pwaying the pianofowte fow the undewpliviweged chiwdwen at the owphanage and spending an abundance of money on dwesses fow hewsewf and hew gwoling daughtew.

When Adeline tulned six, a betwothaw was sent to the Plince of Awstion by the young Empewow, Godfrey II, Holy Orenian Emperor. Plince John hastiwy accepted lithout the counciw of his life, something that Vivienne would wesent him fow the yeaws to come. But a Saint's Week aftew, hew young daughtew was wed and became the Empwess.

Duling the eawliest stages of hew daughtew's tenule as Empwess, Vivienne gwew distant, having nevew twuly come to tewms lith Adeline's newfound position. She took to pwactising the pianofowte, as she so fwequentwy did in hew youth, and weft the upbringing of hew youngest daughtew, Princess Julia, to John.

As Adeline breached the vestiges of hew chiwdhood and entewed the weawm of adowescence as the Waw of Two Empewows came to its concwusion, the two began to speak of flivolities. It was duling this time that both mothew and daughtew found comfowt in each othew, and when Vivienne would finawwy show an eawnest intewest in hew daughtew's life. On one occasion, the Plincess of Awstion hewd a healing in the bewated Empwess's pwoxy, which wed to the vicious defamation of one Sabiw de Savin, a cwaimant to the Kingdom of Santegia.

Vivienne gwaduawwy succumbed to a depwessive state, hew onwy confidants being hew ewdest daughtew and the Empress-Mother, Princess Anabel Devereux. Aftew Adeline's husband had been pwesumed deceased aftew a pwowonged absence, and she, thewefowe, became an Empwess-Dowagew at the young age of sixteen, the two wemained in theiw quawtews, convewsing of theiw musings.

Death

They had been in theiw plivies when tumult ewupted in the Wubrummagnus Pawace, wowd of John VII's abdication spweading sliftwy amongst the coult. . An aghast Vivienne ulged hew daughtew to lise, pwompting wowd fow a ship to an idwe sewvant. The paiw hastiwy weft the Pawace, embawking upon theiw familiaw ship, the SS Elizabeth. On the 13th of the Fiwst Seed, 1725, the two Impeliaws pelished amidst theiw voyage to the Duchy of Awba. The wemains of theiw ship, which was wed astway fwom its intended coulse by a tempest, is yet to be found -- and in tuln, as awe the wemains of the Empwess and the Plincess of Awstion.
