The Starbreaker Clan is an Elder Clan of cave dwarves formed by a son of Urguan; Gotrek Starbreaker in the early days. The Clan is best known for discovering golemancy and for their smithing ability. While the Goldhands may favor there gold amd wealth and Ironguts, there magic, the Starbreakers are the greatest of craftsmen out of all the cave dwarven clans.

History

The Starbreaker Clan has been around since Aegis, and was present in the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and is currently in the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah. Known for its smithing, Golemancy and mining it is one of the oldest and longest standing clans of the dwedmar.

Aegis

The Clan was founded by Gotrek Starbreaker in Aegis when he constructed a powerful citadel on the plateau found in a beautiful mountain valley. Though no one knows the fate of the founder of this clan his line continued with his son Skalf Starbreaker and grandson Arbek Starbreaker. As the Great Gotrek passed away Skalf became clan father os the clan after the passing of Gotrrek it is assumed that they settled in Karak-Rikazz with a quaint hall and many members. As Skalf ruled, Arbek grandson of the great Gotrek would be taught the four crafts of the starbreakers Mining, Warfare, Building, and of course smithing. Though Arbek was great in all he was very gifted in smihing. During this time of relative peace the silverfinger clan (a offshoot of the starbreakers) had a clan father named Haggar Silverfinger brother of Skalf and uncle of Arbek. He adopted a son named Hashut a forest dwarf that can be assumed to be around the same age as Arbek. As the days slowly turned sour a massive assault of undead lead by an unknown figure cloacked in black laid seige on the citadel. As the cities natural defenses and walls gave an advantage to the dwarves the dwarves were presumed safe. Until the unthinkable happened Hashut adopted cousin of Arbek and son of Haggar opened the great gate letting in a tide of undead pour into the citadel. It was believed that the cloacked figure with dark magic whispered corruption in his ear. The clans of the khazamar fought valiantly against the undead, as Arbek saw Hashut he rushed to battle him. Hashut and Arbek fought a long battle whilst axe and shield spear and sword clashed around them. At last Arbek drove his warpick into Hashuts skull killing him with a fatal blow. As the dwarves fought on valiantly more and more undead poured through and (presumably) outnumbered the dwed. Moments after his victory over Hashut Arbek was knocked unconscious as he woke and looked over the dead he wept tears as he saw both his father and uncle killed most, for Hashut had murdered them before their battle. An both silverfinger and starbreakers clans perished in the battle all memeers killed. This sad and tragic event ended a generation of starbreakers and is a constant reminder of how important never to underestimate magic. This sad and horrible event would be known by many as simply The Purge Of The STarbreakers, or simply, The Purge.

After years of inactivity, the Starbreaker clan was brought back to life by Crevin Starbreaker in the Kaz'Ulrah capital city of Kal'Tarak. Here Crevin set about making a Clan Hall and gathering his kin which was spread out across the entire world. Now with Crevin on vacation the mantle passed over to Kikere who became clan mother. With there clan hall finally built in Kaz Ulrah, Kikere Starbreaker was set to learning golemancy from an irongut.

Starbreaker Clan Appearance

The typical Starbreaker has gray skin due to being a cave dwarf clan. In youth their hair is of any color, but as they grow old their hair begins to turn white. They usually have long beards that are either braided or adorned with some material. Due to their skin color being black and eye color ranging from orange to yellow and being the best in smithing compared to the other dwarven clans, they can often be mistaken as dark dwarves. The attire of a Starbreaker is largely dependent upon the trade(s) or profession(s) they pursue, albeit armor is often seen on a Starbreaker.
