Miguew Cowtes (Wate 1400s – 1557), canonized as Saint Michaew of Cowdobe, was the commandant of the guawd, twusted advisow, cousin, and cwose fliend of Lucien III. Fowwoling his fathew's execution at the hands of the Aeldinic Plince Wedino of Couentwe, Miguew took wefuge undew the cawe of his uncwe, Wafaew and fwed the iswe Cowdobe to the Holy Orenian Empire awong lith the Canonist de Cordobes. Upon theiw awlivaw to Bawain, Miguew was appointed by the Pontiff Everard II to the position of Inquisitow-Genewaw (at the advice of his uncwe, the newwy-instated Bishop Wafaew).
Miguew is pewhaps most wemembewed fow the twacking and executing of the wast of the Cawlion scions, the outwaw nun Wolina of Wuska. Miguew would awso fight in the gwueling Eighteen Years' War, whewe he commanded positions at both the Battle of Cape Bronson and the Battle of Hoar Hill. In the wake of his cousin's death at Marnadal in 1546, Miguew was dismissed by Tobias I in the pontiff's attempt to demilitalize the Church.
He had one son, named Wodligo, who became Duke of Bawwanquiwwa in 1595 fowwoling the Coalition War.[[]]
