The Sheffields are a prominent Human family that have held political power in several realms.

History

The Sheffields became noted in Aegis when Edmund Sheffield was the Seneschal to Pampo Perea. Upon the death of King Perea to the Undead Edmund took the throne, and his wife Ivrae Sheffield became Queen. They had two daughters, Aliciana and Rose, before their marriage and a son, Enor afterwards. The princesses were popular with the crowds of Al'Khazar growing up and Enor went on several raids for the kingdom. The popularity of Edmund as a King waned during his rule with criticisms such as failing to slow the Undead threat. One of the biggest Undead victories occurred when Edmund was turned Undead and killed Ivrae before moving to the Nether. After a near civil war in which Felix Farnsworth, Gaius Marius and Dawn Perea vied for the throne, Enor was crowned King of Oren. After the Fall of Al'Khazar in 1338 Enor was taken to the Nether before being released a year later. During the events of the Phoenix Revolution he gave the crown of Oren to Gaius Marius, sparking confrontation that led to the creation of the Realm of Hanseti and Kingdom of Renatus. Enor joined Dawn Perea on the island of Salvus, which they declared to be a nation.

In Asulon Salvus was established south of the Sanctuary of the Cloud Temple with the capital of Solace. Enor gradually grew less connected with the leadership and citizens and eventually announced his departure from the nation. Edwin Sheffield, his uncle, joined Dawn Perea on the throne. Following the collapse of Salvus to Renatus he too vanished. The current whereabouts of Enor and Edwin are unknown, or if they managed to escape Asulon to Anthos.
