Early life

The only child of the renowned Juan Mendez, Carlos was born in the northern mountains to the Hyspian Tribe. For most of his early life, he wandered with the tribe but eventually settled with his Father in Tierre Natal, the capital of the Kingdom of Hyspia. He was raised by his Father how to fight and how to govern effectively, as Juan was the Head Steward and Hand of the Crown. After his Father's death, the young boy was granted his Father's titles by King Cesar of Hyspia

Inheritance

After the death of his Father, Carlos inherited his father's belongings which included but were not limited to; the Mendez family estate, Juan Mendez's armor and weaponry, and the titles of Head Steward and Hand of the Crown. Soon after his inheritance was gained, he began his administrative career.

Military Career

Despite being responsible for administrative duties, Carlos found himself enjoying the combative aspect of his career more. At the age of 15, he was given command of a small detachment of the Army to search the outskirts of the Kingdom for any outlaw activity, and engaged in a handful of minor skirmishes with smaller outlaw gangs. Soon after, Carlos was given the task of rallying a large portion of the Army to go on the Hyspian Expedition, which was a military campaign against the several scattered outlaw outposts. In just a few months, Carlos successfully located several outlaw outposts and cleared them out. After this, King Cesar himself knighted the young Mendez for his command prowess and his determination against the bandit threat.
