A Report to the Druids: Wildewyn Woods was written by the Halfling Petyr Brandybuck in Aegis when he was an initiate of the Druids. The work is notable for being one of the few to discuss the Wildewyn Woods in detail.

This is Druid Initiate Petyr's report on his expedition of Wildwyn woods. I decided to explore this mysterious forest in search of exotic flora and fauna. The woods are truely beautiful. The great redwood trees are quite unique to the woods. However, as I discovered, the woods are quite close to the Undead. There are many strange things about in the woods, and I believe that it is due to Undead corruption.

I decided to bring parchment and painting materials along with me so that later I could better describe that which I saw.

The first point of notice I'll mention has not much to do with the Undead, but still has to do with the balance of the forest. There appears to be large scale lumber industry going down, destroying some of the precious redwoods and land.

As you can see, there is a large mill, and the lumberjacks haven't even bothered to replant much.

Also, though I did not sketch it, there is a large river which is creating a canyon. While this is beautiful, I worry that the erosion will become too great in the future. This isn't a big worry fer now.

As I got closer to the ruins of Snowy Fields and the Undead corruption, I started to get worried. There was obviously something amiss.

The taint has aggravated some of the wildlife into unnatural and enraged behaviors. The wolves, when seen, are very aggressive, the pig have corrupted into pigmen, and occasionally even a sheep will bite at yer clothing. The worst that I saw, though, was the spiders! I tried to paint a house that had been overrun by enraged spiders:

Unfortunately, as you can probably tell, I had a slight encounter. Mid-painting, a pair of spiders attacked me while in broad daylight. While I fled, some of the painting was torn by the branches, and the paint leaked, not having time to dry. Part of the painting is still clear, which is the interior of the house. It is torn apart with webs everywhere.

My proposal? That the druids create a refuge and base in the forest. This place would be a place for weary travelers to stay overnight, and also a base out of which we could start healing and purifying the land. There is also other tasks, such as studying some of the unique life, driving away the lumberers, sampling the water, and such. I have found a large inn that appears to be vacant and needing owners.

It is very close to the areas that we would need to work in.

I hope that you found this investigative report helpful and informative. I also hope that we act on some of these findings.
