Percival Staunton (1476-1537) served as the first Duke of Courland and first noble of house Staunton. He became Baron of Highclaire, Eastbourne and Fjordham before ascending to Count of Westmark and then Duke of Courland shortly after. He was the father of Duke [[Richard Staunton]], 2nd Duke of Courland.
