Percival Staunton served as the first Duke of Courland and first noble of house Staunton. Originally the son of a wealthy wine merchant in Petrus, he became Baron of Highclaire, Eastbourne and Fjordham before ascending to Count of Westmark and then Duke of Courland shortly after.
