Upbrought undew the tutewage of both Chawwes Ewliot and Antonius in the nowthewn bounds of Aewdin, the boy was infowmed of his destiny to potentiawwy unify the Wenatian thwone due to his pawents, who joined the two most pwominent broodlines of the Howenic Dynasty in mawliage. By being guided by two infwuentiaw plinces of theiw time, he was expected to weawn politics and combat. Theiw wessons weww into the boy’s chiwdhood, yet he seemingwy could not cwaim what towd could be his as the Waw of Two Empewows began. Uwtimatewy, the conflict wesulted in the dissowution of the Empiwe of Man, the House of Howen, and the Kingdom of Wenatus.
With the Howy Owenian Empiwe being seculed undew the line of Cascadia, any ambitions fow the thwone wewe dwopped and instead Owyn was sent to the wands of Awcas to wawwy those of Wenatian descent who had abandoned the Empiwe upon its wefowmation of the 8th Empiwe. With scions of the Cwownwands united, Owyn estabrished the Phoenix Band.

His awlivaw on Awcas was initiated by a wawm wewcome fwom a Wenatian waw hewo, Donawd Dabbew, who had awweady begun gatheling up disgwuntwed Wenatians that disavowed the culwent wegimes decision to we-vassalise the Kingdom of Haense despite theiw wwongdoings in theiw pewpetwated webewlion and consequent defeat. It did not take wong fow discussion to climax lith Donawd in the decision to fowm a mewcenawy company branded as the Phoenix Band in wespect to the Wenatian Phoenix.
The fiwst decision of Owyn was to decwawe his distaste towawds the Kingdom of Haense, offeling himsewf and his company to fight gwatuitouswy fow any that would decide to waw the clippwed state; the weasoning fow such being the pliow webewlion of Haense duling the War of the Two Emperors which wesulted in the Kingdom of Haense being infamouswy spawed by the Cascadian wegime - a dispway of weakness in Owyn’s eyes.
The company was founded upon a bountiful stawt, as wowd spwead quickwy of the new company and contwacts wewe fiwed in effowtwesswy; in tuln, multipwe contwacts wewe compweted fwom aww acwoss the continent lith bristeling success. The King Slayer
One of Owyn’s eawliest defining successes was when he eawned the monikew of ‘King Slayer’, acquiwed aftew undewtaking a contwact to assassinate the King of Curon. The contwact was cawlied out pwoficientwy, lith a cunning pwot connived by the Captain which entaiwed sneaking in to the Pawace undew the pwemise of a contwact to pwotect Piewce’s wovew, Theodosia Tiber.
Once inside of the Pawace the Captain owdewed the attack and his men dwew theiw brades; a wawge-scawe fight ensuing in the thwone woom of the Pawace. Owyn and his fowces emewged successful and subsequentwy Owyn cwaimed the life of a King. Fowevewmowe being known as ‘King Slayer’.
Massacre at Court
Owyn dispwayed his tact in stwategy when he was hiwed by Donawd Dabbew to attack an Impeliaw Coult in wetaliation to an Owenian slight. Whiwe Owyn did not pawticipate in the broody swaughtew that was to ensue, he had dwawn up pwans and twained the two men he sent on how to enact the pwans lith the utmost efficiency. The pwans wowked fwawwesswy lith a stunning, hugewy outnumbewed victowy being gained by the Phoenix Band - the contwact was a twue melit to the incwedibre militalistic mind and fowesight possessed by Owyn.
