Owyn Godwinson was the legendary firstborn son of Godwin Horenson and the second King of the Kingdom of Aaun and Kingdom of Idunia. Not much is known about his life except what is told in the Canon Scrolls of the Church of the Canon, in which he is regarded as an Exalted prophet and author of the Scroll of Spirit.

Legend

In the Church of the Canon, Owyn is believed to have been the firstborn son of Godwin, and heir to the Aaun. However, when he was just a boy, the Kingdom of Aaun was conquered by his uncle Harren. With his inheritance stolen from him, the young Owyn fled to the court of of his uncle Joren in Edel, where he served for many years. Upon Joren's capture and imprisonment by Harren, Owyn received a message from the Creator, directing him to go serve as Harren's seneschal. He served in latter's court court for a number of years, as he penned the Scroll of Spirit, before God ordered him to demand Harren free the Edelites and the godly Harrenites. Harren refused and drew his sword, before relenting when his nephew drew his own blade, illuminated by the Light of God. But Owyn was vengeful for his father's murder, and so he slew his uncle in cold blood before the court. The mixed-blooded lords of Harren's kingdom fled to the North in fear, and Owyn ruled as King of Aaun and Idunia until his sons came of age. During this time he also established the High Priesthood.

When his sons reached manhood, Owyn journeyed to the north to find his uncle Joren but he could never be found. In his grief, he went to Joren's old capital in Edel, now infested by pagans and servants of Iblees, and slaughtered those who defiled the his uncle's city. After every servant of Iblees lay dead, Owyn was miraculously made again as the light of his blade, and the great city was destroyed. And so Owyn joined his father's father in the Sixth Sky.
