Otto was able to establish universities to which he'd given massive sums to benefit their studies. As heartlander states began to form together under one banner being led by the [[Crown of Renatus-Marna]] he'd fear that they will soon come after his Kingdom to reform an Empire. In response, he'd attempt to form his own coalition under the Czena Confederation, as conflict broke out in the Battle of the Dam in 1653 to which at the beginning he would see it with some success. Though even with a lack of a central leadership within the coalition it was able to stop any progression.

Otto Stefan, regally known as Otto III of Haense, was the eighth king of Haense from the House of Barbanov.
