Nikoleta Barbara was the firstborn child of HRH Franz Leopold Barbanov and Natalia Elaine Kovachev, born out of wedlock. Subsequently, in early 1837, she was legitimized by King Henrik II, and her bastardom was completely erased by her parent's wedding in early 1848. At the age of 10, she was betrothed to Prince Andrik Nikolas, second in line to the throne of Hanseti and Ruska at this time. The pair were married in 1846 and parented three children before Nikoleta went insane, claiming Andrik had committed adultery, and running away to the outer baronies of Savoy. She later married a childhood friend, Kaustantin Baruch, and moved back to Haense once Andrik had passed in 1971.

Nikoleta mothered a fashion tabloid known as "Moda i ve Kort" under the reign of Emma of Jerovitz which she would continue to update with new editions up until she died in 1891.
