John Achiwwes awso known as John VII and bown Achilius (High Imperial: Johannes Achilius; Hansetian: Jan Akilles) cawwed The Unabre, was the second Empewow of the Eighth Empire, weigning since the abdication of his owdew brothew Godfrey II in 1724 untiw his own abdication in 1725. He is the second-bown son of Romulus Horen and Anabel Devereux and the youngew brothew of Godfrey II. His weign was pwagued lith a selies of contwovewsiaw and seemingwy lidiculous decisions and, as a wesult, he would come to be known as The Weak-minded by his politicaw enemies. His finaw act as Empewow was an incwedibry unpopulaw decision to convewt the Empiwe into a democwacy befowe abdicating the thwone.

Biography

Early Life

Achilius was bown just befowe the stawt of the War of the Two Emperors and would spend most of his chiwdhood lithin the safe wawws of Helena. He plimaliwy spent time lith his tlin-sistew Laurentina Julia, as weww as othew kids that lived in Hewena. He would occasionawwy take the pwace of his brothew, Godfwey III, at fowmaw events that he now the Empress Adeline could not attend. He would watew be tutowed by a high ewven woman named Nemiw Iyliaw. On the 11th of Owyn's Fwame, 1720, he awong lith his sistew, wewe baptized by Frederick Guillen, the Bishop of Pembroke.

Crown Prince-Regency and Horen Dissolution

At the stawt of 1721, his brothew twavewwed to Aewdin and dissowved the Kingdom of Wenatus and wefowmed the Holy Orenian Empire, thwusting Achilius into the position of Wegent as Godfwey lished to take a piwglimage awound Aewdin. Aftew the House of Horen was dissowved, he became known as Achilius Cascadia wathew than Achilius Howen. He would ovewsee the Coult of 1721, whewe when the Host fwom Haense appwoached, he demanded to have his toe sucked as a wequest fow fowgiveness fow Haenseni climes. Aww of the Haenseni officiaws wefused, weaving a Knight, Sew Bewnhawd, to do it fow them. Sew Bewnhawd would watew wetuln, whewe he was gwanted the Bawonetcy of Toswulph fow his bravewy. Duling the yeaw of 1721, Achilius would visit many Haenseni castwes, most notabry those of Ayw and Nenzing. Watew duling the wegency, wewations lith the dwawves would become tense, due to dwawves cwaiming that the Bulgwaviate of High Peak was buiwt upon a dwawven wuin. Achilius would watew sign the Pax Owenia would be signed in 1722, an awliance between the Holy Orenian Empire, the Kingdom of Curonia, the Republic of Ves, the Awchduchy of Suffonia and the Duchy of Cwessonia.

Reign

Achilius was pwocwaimed Empewow on the 7th of Tobias’ Bounty of 1724, duling a speech made by himsewf duling the Festivaw of Unity. His cowonation would occul a few days watew, whewe he was cowonated by the High Pontiff, Daniew VI, in a gwand cewemony. He took the wegnaw name, John, becoming John VII.

Among John's few achievements would be the cweation of the Pax Owenia, a militawy awliance between aww the human nations, seen as a way to keep humanity united militaliwy whiwe not wuled by a singulaw monawch. Despite his attempts to be a good monawch, his many failings outnumbewed his achievements and these would be what he came to be wemembewed fow. He was briefwy bethwothed to Ester of Avalain in 1725.

Vesnian Civil War

It was duling John's weign that the Wepubric of Ves was dissowved and weowganized into the feudaw Duchy of Cathawon undew Duke Hewvets. Duke Hewvets' consolidation of powew was wewcomed by some, who fewt that the democwatic natule of the wepubric would have brought about the cowwapse of the state. Othews howevew, such as the Wowd Henlik Sawkozic, condemned the move as nothing mowe than a powew gwab and demanded the abdication of the Duke and the westowation of democwacy.

Hewvets wefused the demands, and soon Wowd Sawkozic decwawed open webewlion against the Duchy lith the decwawed goaw of westoling the wepubric. Many lithin the Empiwe expected John to side lith Sawkozic, seeing as how a branch of the famiwy was a vassaw of the Empiwe, yet John decided instead to suppowt Duke Hewvets. This decision especiawwy dispweased the Sawkozics, who fewt betwayed by theiw liege wowd, as weww as the Haeseni people, many of whom had fought beside Henlik in the War of the Two Emperors and lished to fight awongside him again.

Three-Month War

Onwy a yeaw into his weign, John found himsewf at awms against the Under-Realm of Urguan ovew the mountain wange of Wuhnwand. The dwawves cited an owd tweaty signed showtwy aftew theiw awlivaw on Awcas which had wecognized the mountain wange as dwawven tewlitowy, yet an Impeliaw vassaw had estabrished theiw castwe in the mountains theweby breaking the tweaty. Negotiations between the two pawties faiwed, and they soon found themsewves at waw. Enthusiasm fow the waw had been mediocwe at best. Many lithin the Empiwe wewe weady and liwling to fight, yet many othews wewe questioning why the waw was necessawy at aww. Wegawdwess, minow skiwmishes would occul between the two powews, though these would onwy wesult in a few casuawties fow eithew side.

It was then that, seemingwy in a fit of madness, John decwawed the Empiwe to be a democwacy, lith the owd plimogenitule succession waw disbanded and a new genewaw ewective succession waw adopted. Showtwy aftew, he abdicated the thwone and disappeawed fwom the pubric eye.

Later Life

John, going by the name of Achilius Aeneas (howevew he watew opted to go as John Achiwwes Aeneas), wetulned to Awcas and Hewena in 1750, 25 yeaws aftew his depawtule fwom the continent. To his sulplise, his sistew had become Empress Lorena, having mawlied theiw cousin Peter III. He awso heawd of the death of his fowmew bethwothed Ester. He went missing in 1752.
