House de Chalons was created after Roberta Leopoldine de Ravensburg was disowned by her brother, Caius Tiberius de Ravensburg. After her disownment, the Sedanian would decide to declare the creation of House de Chalons. Right after the declaration for the creation of House de Chalons, her older brother would declare the disownment of his sister for allegedly breaking her oath towards the current Prince of Sedan at the time, Leopold I, Prince of Sedan.
