Wars/Battles:

Gustaf de Vilain, or Gustaf the Farmer, sometimes even just the Farmer, as well as the First Knight of Acre, was the son of Hannes de Vilain and Second Baron of Acre. His origins are mostly unknown, though, at one point or another, he came under the tutelage of Cynefrith Easworth, a ranger of Arichsdorf. He worked under Manfred von Arichsdorf in his tavern for a few years, with parchment dated to when Gustaf was around eleven or twelve. Sometime later, he would become taken as a squire to Ezekiel Moores and serve at the knight’s side until he became knighted at eighteen years old, on the eve of the Brothers’ War. Once the war was finished, he would be knighted again and would go on to serve as one of the wardens in Oren’s northern lands. Throughout his tenure, he would acquire a variety of other aliases or epithets, such as Champion of the Ivory Alps, Knight-Errant of Oren, First Sword of Acre, and a variety of terms meant to insult, such as Robber Baron, Robber Knight, Banished Knight, all which were embraced and given honorable regard by the man and those within his fellowship.

Following acts of retaliation by royalists for the Barony of Acre's withdrawal from the war for Elvish Lands, Gustaf's actions of defiance ultimately led to the dissolution of the Kingdom. This resulted in a peace agreement that shattered the remnants of Oren and catalyzed the splintering of several human nations, such as Numendil, Adria, Veletz, Petra, and Aaun. While Gustaf is hailed or considered a hero in most of these regions, the events of the Acre Rebellion have faced criticism from human and imperial nationalist groups.
