Guenda Letizia Catalina Maria di Sarola (1822 - c. Late 1870s) was a Savoyard noblewoman by marriage to the Baron of Caer der Hodenn. After the assassination of Catherine of Sutica, Guenda's husband took her two children and sided with the Anti regency faction of Savoy. She died destitute in Oren.

Biography

Childhood and Early Adulthood

Guenda was born in 1822 in the Commonwealth of Sutica to moderately wealthy parents. She was the sister of Paul, Bishop of San Luciano and Cristena, a horse breeder.

Guenda wed Phillipe Hakon van der Sainte-Blandine, Baron of Caer Hodenn on the 16th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1850. The two were set up by Catherine of Sutica and had a lackluster marriage resulting in a son and a daughter in 1855. She had various connections; most notably to Princess Catherine of Sutica, Joan of Alstion, Duchess-Consort of Drusco, Princess Athénaïs Olivienne of Savoy, Vasileia Ekaterini Basrid, Valentino Gradic and Nikita of Dobrov. Guenda often utilized these connections for her own personal gain.

La Padrona by Venusto Zorzi, c. 1849. Thought to be Guenda, as Zorzi and the Baroness had a close relationship. Rumors circled that the two had a daughter together, named Luigia.

In 1858, Guenda attended a conference hosted by Vasileia Basrid, resulting in a public missive[1] calling for Prince Lucien’s regency to be fulfilled. Shortly after the missive’s publishing, Phillipe took their two children and locked Guenda out of their manor in Savoy. Guenda moved to Oren as a result, living in poverty until her death in the 1870s.

Issue

Guenda had multiple affairs throughout her life, resulting in several bastard children. A son and a daughter by Phillipe in 1855, possibly named Phillipe and Catherine Eleonore respectively. A daughter by an unnamed Oyashiman named Catalina Maria in 1850, and a son by an unnamed Orenian nobleman possibly named Valentino Arturo or Vincenzo Arturo in 1852. Venustro Zorzi, a Savoyard painter, was rumored to have an affair with Guenda which resulted in a daughter named Luigia Marita (b. 1856-1857). There are no surviving records of her descendants.

It should be noted that Phillipe and Guenda's marriage was never legally ended, thus making her the Baroness of Caer der Hodenn until her death.
