Fionn Castaway (New Marian: Fyonn Castaway) was the nineteenth High Seneschal of Hanseti-Ruska, serving his position as an Aulic Councillor of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska for eleven years under King Heinrik II and King Sigismund III. Despite never seving as a steward prior to his elevation to the position, Fionn used his extensive experience in military leadership and the Haeseni government along with the knowledge gained from such to distinguish himself in the position. He worked tirelessly alongside Royal Treasurer Otto Morovar to revive the struggling financial state of the Kingdom, with the combined efforts of the two resulting in the Kingdom's best financial state since their arrival on the realm of Almaris. As well as that, Fionn Castaway retired with the most house sales during a Seneschal's tenure in modern Haeseni History.

Early Life

Not much is known about Fionn's life prior to his arrival in the Haeseni capital of Karosgrad at the age of 18. His place of birth was unknown, as well as his family,as the man never publicly spoke about such. All that is known about the man is that he was part of a mercenary group long gone from the world, and that he had a brother whose name he never shared. His apparent experience in a mercenary group could be a factor in his later military success in the Haense Royal Army and later the Brotherhood of Saint Karl.

Military Career

Fionn joined the Haense Royal Army in 1803 after being recruited by Sergeant Jackson Porter. The two, alongside fellow recruit William Carolus, would become close friends until Jackson's death in 1819. Fionn would consistently rise through the ranks, completing his Oath Hunt and becoming a Footman shortly before the first promotion ceremony held during Friedrich Barclay's tenure as Lord Marshal, and earning the promotions to Armsman and Armiger in the two promotion ceremonies proceeding, helping to distinguish Fionn's name as a stalwart defender of the Kingdom.

At the age of 21, after a giant worm attack near the gates of Karosgrad, Fionn would lose his left eye. He would consequently be out of service for 3 months while he learned to adjust to one eye, having chosen to not get a replacement. During this 3 months, he would not be able to serve in the Basilica of Saint Heinrik during the Red Diet, during which Owyn III was forced to abdicate as High Pontiff, and multiple members of the clergy and their defenders were killed.

Fionn would take part in the vast majority of the Rimetroll War, including the Assault of Karosgrad, the Battle of the Blizzard, the Siege of Reinmar, and the Siege of Krusev. However, the man would be absent from many of the battles pertaining to the Nachezer invasion from the Attenlund, as his efforts were instead directed to his duty as Seneschal in Karosgrad.

Later in his career and near the end of the Rimetroll War, Fionn Castaway would be promoted to Sergeant due to the increasing demand of officers after Lord Marshal Friedrich fell under illness. Fionn focused on recruitment and the training of initiates, seeing multiple classes of initiates trained by him go on to become hardened soldiers of the Haense Royal army. Following the retirement of Friedrich and the elevation of Ailred var Ruthern to the position of Lord Marshal, alongside the reformation of the Haense Royal Army to the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, Fionn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, becoming one of the highest ranked soldiers in the Brotherhood. Fionn would become head of the Shock Troupe, but the majority of the Troupe leadership fell on Ruslan Baruch as he remained focused on the training of initiates.

after 38 years of diligent service, Fionn Castaway retired from his military service at the age of 56. During his service, he received the following medals;
-Golden Crowfoot, for 30 years of reckon-able service in the military.
