King Eirik Ruric, also known as Eirik the Great, came into rule by usurping his brother Edvard having been put into a spot of possible total annihalation of the Norlandic peoples, Eirik stacked with the odds against him, somehow managed to save his people through pure diplomatic skill, thusly attaining the name The Great, it is also worth noting that Eirik's line has been seen as the strongest Kings of Norland. He was succeeded by his second son Sven after abdicating in 1551, and later died in 1555.

Biography
Early life
Eirik's early life was spent mainly reading, and practicing diplomacy due to being the second son, and never expecting to become king.
Reign
Eirik was never expected to become King, due to being the second son. But during his brother, Edvards, reign Norland was put into turmoil, having large aggressions from Urguan, and Oren. Due to expert diplomacy, Eirik managed to save the Norlandic people, by vassalizing under the Holy Orenian Empire, during the remainder of his reign he spent time repairing his brothers damage, by improving the economy aswell as the Norlandic military, by forming the infamous Ashguard to serve as a unit of Shock troops for the Emperor of Oren.
