Edward Jrent (c. 1493 – 1st of the Amber Cold, 1555), more commonly known by his ecclesiastical name of Edward of Istria, was the recognized illegitimate son of Charles Henry Horen as well as the trusted aide and court chaplain of his brother, John I.
Through the interference of his brother, he was appointed a cardinal of the Church of the Canon. He served his reigning sibling as an agent and factotum, however he was more well-known for his lechery. He outlived his master, remaining for a time as the court chaplain to his nephew John II, however he perished at the age of 62 from syphilis.
Edward was married to the Duke of Carnatia's sister, Helena Kovachev, and he bore the honorary title of Marquis of Guise.
